Beau Van Hoydonck believes to be in this world to create immersive works to shift consciousness while exploring themes that range from technology, self empowerment to environmental awareness. This is his driving force and in this way art can be a conduit through which humanity understands itself.
The power of his works lies in its ability to illustrate and raise awareness with an interesting balance in aesthetics. He loves to transform spaces with the feeling of entering a sacred space of something other worldly.
He is part of the Tulpa Collective This strong symbiosis creates space for experiments and experiences to be lived and learned from.
This work speaks to our future, and the fight to save us from ourselves: damnation or salvation? The greatest fear I have is that we have lost sight of – or lost the will to see - who we are, and what bonds us together. We are destroying ourselves because of our differences, when at the basic DNA level, we are all the same. The projected surfaces and technology used to project is a barricade of what we are becoming, while the organic, nature inspired images represent who we are truly inside.
Upon entering the installation, you blend in because the screens are almost transparent! Out of curiosity, and while remaining unseen, you find yourself observing the observers on the outside of the installation. The images appear to you, as an organic space. Your world is intimate with the illusion of vastness…. Observed from the outside, you see a person silhouetted inside a transformational world of depth.
